Delivered work with a Nordic industrial group — client anonymised.

What it is

An industrial group receives documentation from suppliers and customers in every shape a document can take: certificates, declarations, technical data sheets, drawings, inspection records, revised revisions of all of the above. The work is turning that stream into structured data that the ERP, the quality system and the technical file can rely on — with confidence thresholds controlling what proceeds automatically and what goes to a person.

Environment

Supplier portals and shared drives, ERP and document management systems, and the compliance obligations that make the documents matter in the first place: declarations of conformity, material and inspection records, and the technical documentation a manufacturer must be able to produce on request.

Why it matters

Where documentation is a compliance obligation, an extraction error is not a rounding error — it propagates into the product file. Systems here are built with exception routing first: the machine reads everything, the rules decide, and the ambiguous cases land with the person who owns the answer.

Questions

Questions about this work.

What does the system actually output?

Structured records — the individual values from each document, mapped to the fields the ERP, quality system or technical file expects, with the source document and page retained for traceability.

How are errors handled?

By exception routing and confidence thresholds: values that validate proceed, values that do not are routed to a person with the source extract and the reason attached.

Is client data disclosed?

No. The engagement is described by sector, scope and country only; client identity and commercial details stay private.
